Introducing Mercury-4 -an extraordinary emulation of the highly sought-after Roland Jupiter-4 polyphonic synthesizer from the late 1970s. Among the Jupiter series, the Jupiter-4 stands out as the rarest and most distinct in terms of sound. Our team has meticulously replicated every subtle and not-so-subtle characteristic and nuance of this beloved classic. To achieve this, we based our modeling on a vintage Jupiter-4 that belonged to Greg Hawkes, the keyboardist of the iconic 80s new wave band The Cars. This very same synthesizer was used on their double-platinum 1981 album Shake It Up. Upon hearing Mercury-4, Greg remarked, "It sounds just like my old Jupiter! It's great to have it back."
